About

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. I have been involved with music from a young age. From elementary to high school I have been in musicals, plays, and numerous choral performances. I graduated from the Creative and Performing Arts High School aka  C.A.P.A. (Boys II Men, Bilal, The Roots, Jazmine Sullivan). I have been working in the studio since I was 15 and by the time I was sixteen, I was recording in Larry Gold’s studio (The Studio) working with James Poyser’s camp, Axis Music Group.

Two years ago, when I had an opportunity to perform and provide vocal production on the “FAME” soundtrack, it seemed a bit surreal because that creative environment that is depicted in the FAME movie was so similar to my high school experience.

CAPA was an environment that taught me about excellence and team work. In the vocal program, if there was a person who even took a breath out of place, we had to start the song all over. There were tests after tests to make sure we knew our pieces inside and out. It taught me to be disciplined. CAPA also humbles you because most students come from schools where they are the top dog or the most talented but at CAPA, everyone is talented and trying to be the top dog.

Fortunately, as I’ve work to define my sound and develop my artistry, I’ve been truly blessed to receive support from the talented artists, musicians, and producers whose music has kept the Philadelphia music community alive and thriving. So Thank You to Carvin and Ivan, Musiq, Keith and D, Marsha, Zukhan, Khari Mateen, Dice, The Roots, Adam Blackstone, Jill Scott, Anthony Bell, Vivian Green Jazmine Sullivan, Frankie Storm, Vidal Davis, and London for sharing your advice and sharing your time and talent.

I chose this career because I’ve dreamed of being a professional singer for almost all of my life. I’ve always felt like it was my true calling. I have dedicated my life to music. It’s what I’m most passionate about.  Moreover, I have a message that I want to send to the world.
